(Re)juvenate Your Kids’ Books

Are your children’s bedrooms and bookshelves stuffed with wonderful books that they’ve long outgrown? Wish you could replace them with gently used publications en français and in English that are would pique their interests? The PA has your back!

The Great Book (Re)Sale will take place at the West Campus between February 8 – 14. Donate gently used children’s books, and purchase high quality novels and nonfiction that your budding bookworms will devour.

Here’s how it will work

  1. Drop off gently used children’s books and magazines appropriate for PK - Grade 9 in French and English between February 8 – 10. A collection bin will be placed in the main foyer on the evening of February 7.
  2. Volunteers will collect and sort the books and prepare them for resale on Friday evening. The PA welcomes parent and student volunteers who can help out!
  3. On Monday and Tuesday, February 13 and 14, parents and students are invited to peruse the book sale and purchase a few good reads. All funds raised will help support PA activities and initiatives.

A note on what to donate

The PA will be thankful for donations of books that your children once enjoyed but have since outgrown, and which are of a quality that your family would be happy to purchase again.

Please do not drop off adult books, nor books that are of poor quality or which are falling apart. We regret that we are also not seeking games, toys nor any items other than children’s books and magazines.

Breakfast and a Green Plan

A reminder that the school has invited all parents to stop by at the Gymnasium tomorrow morning, Thursday, February 2nd between 8:30 – 9:30 AM to hear from Dr. González about the exciting transformation coming to the West Campus playground this summer.

Enjoy a light breakfast while the Head of School discusses how the West Campus Greening Plan will bring more enjoyment to our kids’ learning and play, and even more pride to our community.

Building the West Campus – Inside and Out

The West Campus is set for an exciting transformation of its green space this summer that promises our students a stimulating new playground and outdoor classroom. This year, the school is also embarking on a master planning process that will reshape the both campuses in the years ahead.

The TFS Parents’ Association at the West Campus looks forward to welcoming Michael Burke, Deputy Head of Citizenship and Community Engagement to address parents about these initiatives at our next PA West Campus Community meeting, taking place on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 7:30 PM in the school Gymnasium.

RSVP to confirm your attendance

Open to all West Campus parents, teachers and staff, this PAW meeting is the last of three held during the school year. The meetings provide West Campus parents a chance to come together to review and give feedback on PA priorities, progress and the budget.

Doors will open at 7:00 PM and the meeting is expected to begin at 7:30 and conclude by 9:00 PM. All parents are strongly encouraged to attend.
