Branch Coordinator

The role of the Branch Coordinator is to establish and maintain communication and cooperation within the Branch Team, school community, administration and Parents’ Association Council (PAC). 

The position is located at the following TFS school branches;

1) La p’tite école 2) Junior School 3) Senior School and 4) West Campus.

 These positions are members of the Parents’ Association Executive Council. 

Key Duties of WEST Campus Coordinator:

  • Serve as the point person between the PA and the Administration at the Campus level.
  • Sets the schedule for the Campus Representative meeting and the PAW meetings which feed into the PA Exec and PAC meeting schedule. 
  • Chairs monthly meetings with the Campus Representatives, and as necessary meets with the Principal of West Campus, inviting Campus Representatives when required. 
  • Chairs a minimum of three PAW (PA West Camus) meetings during the school year.
  • Attends all Campus related events as scheduled by the Principal where the PA is requested to attend and prepares any necessary presentations. 
  • Prepares a written Campus Report for the PA Executive Committee, which then goes to the PAC. 
  •  In consultation with the Treasurer, ensures the preparation and reporting of the Campus budget and financial updates to PA Executive Committee and the PAC and PAW.
  • Work with the Toronto Campus Branch Coordinators to ensure good communication.
  • Prepares and manages monthly newsletter via mail chimp of PA news and events (with the approval of the Principal).
  • Prepare year-end report summarizing Campus activities for the AGM. 
  • Sets the Campus Representative meetings and a minimum of three PAW (PA West Campus) meetings during the school year. 
  • Act as one of three authorized signatories to the PA Bank account for the Campus. 

Other PA Duties:

  • As a member of the EC and PA, act as an ambassador and resource for parents and administration to promote an inclusive and cooperative TFS community.
  • Attend all monthly PA Executive Council and PAC meetings on Toronto Campus, participate in discussions and vote as required.
  • Attend all PAW meetings on Campus
  • Provide counsel to and support for the PA President.
  • Remain in good standing on the PAC and maintain strict adherence to the TFS Code of Conduct and PA Constitution.

Key skills/abilities/experience:

  • Prior experience as a Campus Representative is an asset.
  • Solid organizational skills, ability to manage a team, and provide guidance and leadership to the EC, PAC and PAW is essential.
  • Must have strong communication skills, and ability to pursue a confidential and diplomatic approach with all TFS stakeholders.

Commitment: 

  • The post is for one year and can be renewed for a maximum of four consecutive years.
  • The time commitment required is on average 10 - 12 hours a month which includes, preparation of work and attendance at various meetings.  The role is cyclical in nature; some months may be busier than others based on the time of year.
